State Coverage
Filed pulls business entity data directly from all 50 state Secretary of State databases (or equivalent agencies). Every state provides at minimum: entity name, type, status, formation date, and registered agent.
Data availability varies by state — some provide officer/director names, detailed filing histories, and annual report data, while others provide only basic registration information.
Standard Data Fields
Every entity record includes these core fields when available from the source state:

State Data Sources
Each state's data comes from its official Secretary of State or equivalent agency. Some states use the Socrata open data platform (identifiable by STATE:id format IDs), while others have proprietary databases (UUID format IDs).
